Shift Process Technician (Agency) M/F/D
Position Context:
To operate and control the process operation of assigned equipment or areas of the Plant and perform operations related activities as part of a multi-skilled, fully rotational shift team.
Main tasks :
- Monitoring chemical manufacturing processes to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Solving problems and troubleshooting processes and equipment
- Conducting preventative maintenance and “first line” repairs of process and mechanical handling equipment.
- Operating packaging, filling and processing equipment
- Conducting chemical analysis of in-process materials and finished products
- Receiving, verifying and unloading raw materials
- Loading and despatching of finished products
- Safely performing manual handling, lifting and climbing of stairs and ladders
- Following, reviewing and improving operating procedures
- Promoting a safe work environment by writing and issuing safe work permits
Required skills :
- Process Technology Level 3 Qualification minimum
- HNC in Chemical Engineering preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a shift / team environment is essential
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Ability to work on multiple tasks
- Ability to work to deadlines with minimal supervision
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
