Job title
Process Development Engineer
Position Context:
Working in the Process Development team. Managing the introduction of new processes and improvements to the current processes.
Main tasks :
Lead the ENPI process for new process projects
Work with the Production Management team to carry out initial campaign(s) of new processes
Document and manage actions associated with implementation of new processes.
Work with R&D to establish cost and feasibility of potential process projects
Initiate and lead improvement projects, to increase process throughput rates but also to resolve EH&S and quality issues where appropriate.
Support plant management in troubleshooting and technical decision making.
Continue to support and document development of existing projects with respect to any changes
Attend variance meetings, and action changes in order to achieve improvements in operation and accounting accuracy.
Liaise with technical contacts from customers and suppliers.
Assist with the development of project scope, safety reviews/documentation and plant/process commissioning of capital projects
Required skills :
Chemical Engineering Degree preferred (2.1 or above) or Chemistry Degree with relevant Chemical Engineering experience
Ability to work with other departments to meet deadlines
Process simulation software
Ability to solve challenging technical problems
Innovative
Continuous Improvement mindset
Qualification/Experience in Six Sigma methodology would be an advantage
New Product Introduction to plant experience
Must be eligible to work in the UK
