Waste Coordinator M/F/D
Position Context:
To ensure all waste requirements for both Middlesbrough and Billingham sites are met.
Main tasks :
- Liaise with Production team for waste requirements.
- Waste Characterisation Forms: EWC codes, Dangerous Goods codes
- Samples to waste companies, complete external company waste forms
- Arranging transport for waste and utilise tanker schedule
- Prepare waste EAN and consignment note if required
- Liaising with hauliers with release numbers
- Collate waste data for waste returns
- Prepare monthly waste accrual costing
- Fill in quarterly returns for Environment agency
- Audit waste contractors programme
- Arranging the most economical waste route
- Manage waste costs by sourcing and reviewing providers, still meeting regulations and level of service
- Provide support to other site logistics activities
Required skills :
WAMITAB L4 Qualification preferred
Experience within the Chemical Industry preferred
Understanding of waste legislation
Experience in logistics scheduling
Credible and confident communication skills both within and outside of the organisation
Good organisational and planning skills, and attention to detail
The ability to work on multiple tasks at one time, and to work under pressure and to deadlines with minimal supervision
Must have a full UK driving licence
Must be eligible to work in the UK
